After removing the fairings I found some pretty funky wiring in the tail. Apparently it’s of French origin. Something needs to be done. Also note the axe work on the original tail section. Sweet….

Day 1 finished. Fairings, mirrors, rear fender, tank, pillion foot pegs and slip ons off. I originally had the bike in a nice garage, but the building went into renovation and I had to get the bike out in very short notice. I’m currently working in a small garage with four other bikes in winter storage. Things need to be moved around every time I work on the bike. I was originally going to take out the engine but that’s not going to happen in the cramped space. Maybe next winter….
