Success! I got the damn steering stem bottom bearing race off finally. A lot of dremeling and hammer work involved. I don’t have the Suzi tool to drive the bottom bearing back on the steering stem axle which was a bit of a problem. In the end I dropped the bearing on to the axle and used the old bearing to protect the bearing cage on the new one. Turned the whole thing upside down and put it through on the vice without tightening it. Took a hammer and whacked it form the bottom. Bearing installed!
Lot’s of bearing grease and assorted pieces, and the yokes are now on.
