I’ve had the Trek Slash 7 now for about a year and a half. So like a season and a half. The drivetrain is now done. The problem is the big ring up front. It’s missing two teeth, one at each cam. The rest of the teeth have worn down so much, the chain skips under heavy load. I was surprised, as I’ve never worn out an MTB sprocket yet. I guess the Slash has seen a lot of use in the last year and a half.

So it’s off to Chain Reaction Cycles, which is always risky as you’ll never checkout with just the stuff you needed. Ooohhh!…pink DH jerseys on sale….better take two….
