After three seasons and 40.000 km of faithful service the KTM 690 Enduro K13 is still running strong without any mechanical or electrical issues. A fantastic machine!
However, I firmly believe a lighter bike will be a much quicker route to all kinds of sticky situations and paths less traveled. So a KTM 500EXC K16 adventurization project is now in the works.
As the bike will be lighter, so will everything else from the gear to tools and spare parts. It will be interesting to figure out what is truly essential and what can be considered as an unnecessary luxury.
