The Crimson Trail kicked off this Monday after some frantic days in the garage during the weekend. I’m riding the first week or so with some Swedish friends on heavy bikes. Our trail has so far taken us through an abandoned submarine base, derelict nuclear missile launch sites and some fantastic trails. The weather has been pretty much perfect with mostly dry and sunny days, except for a few hours of rain yesterday. Nothing too severe though, I didn’t even bother putting on any Gore-Tex layers, instead riding in my Dakars. Despite their heavy bikes, the Vikings have been doing good and keeping up despite a tumble here and there. We decided to take half a day off today and tomorrow the trail continues south to Poland. Wishing everyone an outstanding summer of riding. Keep rolling, keep safe!
