As I wrote in the Arctic trip report, I was starting to lean towards adventure riding. The lean has now evolved into a step and my choice for a ride is the KTM 690 Enduro R K13. I was initially looking into the bigger adventure models, but decided against them due to the weight. I wanted something that would feel like an enduro bike, not a touring bike, and still be capable for adventure travel.

I’ve placed the order and the bike should arrive in a few weeks. It will be delivered fitted with and Akrapovic slip on and an aluminium skid plate. I will probably modify it immediately, but I’m really stoked to get my first brand new bike.
